Here is what happens when you don't know what the flags means... Photos: Michael Bucey Our short story, February 1999, my self & 7 of my closest friends head to Canada on a 8 1/2, hour drive to explore Canadas St-Donat region trails we've herd so much about. We had no idea of what Canada had to offer, nor did we ask about what was safe practice on the lakes. Well about 23 miles into our tour this happened. We were lucky enough to land on a huge flat rock about 15 feet off shore. Our long weekend was over the first day. 8 hours of hard work we retrieved the sleds, by the time we reached our hotel they were solid blocks of Ice. This January will be our 3rd trip back to St-Donat. To all that are reading this, Find out all precautions about the lakes, and the trails, before you ride Sincerely, Mike & Paul |
